As some of you may know, every Sunday in Junior Worship we sing current worship songs. Many kids ask what these songs are so that they can listen to them at home. So, we decided to list the top 10 songs our kids love!
We know, we know, that headline is a little over-the-top. But we are JUST SO EXCITED!
Are you ready for the announcement? Like really, really ready?
Here it is:
Yesterday, our lesson from Crayons: The Colorful Life of King David was about David wanting to build the temple for the Ark of the Covenant, but God said it wasn’t time. As the kids talked about the story, one looked at me and said:
“Miss Hollie? You know, a lot of things happen that we don’t want. And a lot of things don’t happen that we want to. But we’ve gotta remember that God is God, and sometimes, it’s just not His time yet.”
Parents, we know it’s that time of the year. Everything can get crazy during the Christmas season, add in Christmas shopping and you can have your hands full. That’s where we want to help.
We are super excited for our 2016 Christmas trip! This year, we will be going to Christmas at the Falls on December 20. The trip will be for kids K-6th grade, and open to youth volunteers to help chaperone (please talk to the youth ministers about this.)
In preparation, we ask that you please fill out the form below by December 7. This allows us to get an idea of how many to plan for and how many tickets to purchase. You can also specify what time will be best for you!
If you have any questions, feel free to email us at email@example.com or on Facebook.

As Christmas draws near, it’s time to begin play practice! This year our play is entitled “Stories of the Savior.” This wonderful production retells the story of the Savior starting with Adam and Eve and ending with Simeon and Anna. Two scientist present various stories leading up to the birth of Jesus, all while sharing the Good News.
One of my favorite moments as children’s director is seeing it “click.” You know, when you are teaching kids something and they understand. Like, actually understand. Not just hear, not just know, but understand. When they have that “aha!” moment, and truly recognize what it means.
Children matter to God.
Recently at Rooted Kids Ministry, we began two new curriculum, Crayons and Campfire Stories, both by Children’s Ministry Deals. (We are using Crayons: The Colorful Life of King David on Sunday mornings and Campfire Stories at night.) So far, we absolutely LOVE the series! Here’s a quick preview into what our students are learning!
As the 4th of September marked the start of the new church year, it also marked the beginning of the Rooted Children’s Ministry Bible verse memorization challenge. At Rooted, we regularly teach our students the importance of knowing scripture, and we show our students that we are called to cherish and hide His Word in our hearts.
